Bus
From Ljubljana Airport/Ljubljana: First, take a bus to Ljubljana. The bus schedule is available at the Aerodrom Ljubljana website. Then there are several options, either a direct bus connection to Portorož or a bus/train connection via Koper, a town 16 km away from Portorož. There are frequent bus connections between Koper and Portorož (every 20, 30 minutes). See the schedules below.
From Trieste Airport/Trieste: First, take a bus to Trieste. The schedule is available at the Ronchi Airport website. Then take a bus to Portorož. The bus schedule between Portorož and Trieste will be available after May 1, 2004. There are usually around five busses per day between Trieste and Portorož and between Trieste and Koper.
